Punch & Judy Lecture and Exhibit

A Unique Program That Travels To Your Location

Looking for an educational and entertaining program to liven up your next meeting? Are you planning a fundraiser, or searching for a newsworthy attraction to bring in new members? Whatever the reason, you simply can't go wrong with Professor Horn's traveling Punch & Judy lecture, exhibit and show.

Lecture And Show

Professor Horn's lecture centers on the most familiar and popular folk play in the English language: Punch & Judy. This program traces the evolution of Punch & Judy through the ages, including Mr. Punch's debut performance at London's Covent Garden in 1662, and continues onward to modern times. Immediately following is a musical interlude on a vintage organ-grinder's music box and then an exciting Punch & Judy puppet show. At the end of the 30-minute program children receive a FREE color picture of the Punch & Judy cast members along with a FREE novelty paper crocodile puppet.

Amazing Exhibition

Having one of the largest private collections of Punch & Judy memorabilia on the Eastern Seaboard, Professor Horn transports numerous antique playbills, prints and engravings to your venue. This fascinating exhibit also features rare books, manuscripts, antique puppets and other Punch & Judy ephemera. (Showcases are NOT provided.) In many ways it's like bringing the popular PBS TV program Antique Roadshow to your museum, library, gallery or historical society.

Pricing And Booking Information

So what does all this cost? Prices vary depending upon the number of performances and travel distance. Also, due to Professor Horn's busy performance schedule, only a limited number of these programs are presented throughout the season.
