Professor Horn’s Curriculum Vitae

Mark Walker’s (a.k.a. Professor Horn) credentials read like those of a tenured faculty member from Hogwarts, Harry Potter's school of wizardry. The difference is that his resume is not fiction. From his humble beginnings he has been a serious student of conjuring and Punch & Judy history as he set out to learn the trade rather than just the tricks of the trade.

A leading expert on the history of magic in Baltimore City, midnight ghost shows, and Punch & Judy in America, Mark has been a guest lecturer at the Library of Congress, Los Angeles Conference on Magic History, the Magic Collectors' Association, the New England Magic Collectors' Association and London's Magic Circle. From 2005 to 2012 Mark Walker was a monthly columnist for The Fell’s Pointer. During that time, he wrote sixty-six feature articles about neighborhood characters, movie theatres, pubs and merchants that peppered the historic Baltimore waterfront community known as Fell’s Point.
